Well, it's been a lot of good words about the first mini-series of 27 even before of its release in december of 2010. The good sales of the book allowed the release of 27 Second Set (starting next September) and since last month the trade paperback was released including a bunch of extras and a backup story called Crossroads blues, which was made only for this TPB.
So, what can I say about this book after all this time? Believe me, I'm very happy of it for several reasons. It was made in a particular moment of my life and I just respect that. But my idea (for good or worse) is always to think about the next thing I'll do as the best thing I ever done. So yeah, I like the final results of 27 as a whole, but you just wait to see the new stuff we are working around Will Garland's life... I think you're gonna like it more than the first mini-series!
27 First Set TPB is written by my friend Charles Soule, pencilled and painted by me, with stunning covers by Scott Forbes and lettering of Shawn DePasquale, the same team that will show you the sequel in next September.
You can get the book here or if you like to read just Crossroads Blues on iPads, iPhones or any digital device, for free, you just go to Comixology. Thanks for read!
