I'm pretty sure you remember the 12 page backup story called 27: Crossroad blues, appeared in 27: First Set, the trade paperback collection of the first volume of the 27 saga. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, you can read it for free here.
Well, Director James Cooper has started a fundraising campaing through Indiegogo to produce and release the short film adaptation of that comic! How cool can that be?
